https://www.abu-omar-hanna.info/ Hanna in Seatle where he was teaching at Washington University موقع لإحياء ذكرى المناضل حنا ميخائيل::أبو عمر Hanna Mikhail::Abu Omar من نحن؟ وما هي أهدافنا؟ نحن مجموعة من محبي وأصدقاء أبو عمر، نعمل على التعريف بمسيرة نضال مثقف ثوري متميز وبالقيم السامية التي جسدها وضحى من أجلها، فهذا الإرث النضالي يجب أن يصبح جزءا حيويا من ذاكرتنا الشعبية، لأن الاستمرار في بلورة الذاكرة الجماعية ضروري للتعلم من تجارب الماضي ومقدمة ضرورية للوعي وللارتقاء بنضالنا التحرري. ومن المؤسف أن تعقيدات ظروف اختفاء أبو عمر ورفاقه وانحسار دور الحركة الوطنية الفلسطينية المعاصرة وتغير المناخ السياسي وتفرق أو غياب العديد من الرفاق والأصدقاء جعل من الصعوبة الكلام عن مرحلة الثورة الفلسطينية المعاصرة واستذكار رموزها المشعة. ولكن الإيمان بأهمية معرفة تاريخنا المتمثل أساسا بالإنسان شحذ العزيمة فابتدأنا. وإن كنا نعي أن مساهمات الرفاق والأصدقاء والعائلة المتوفرة ما هي إلا نزر بسيط مما يمكن أن يصف مسيرة وشخصية أبو عمر لكننا واثقون بأن هذه ستكون البداية، وسيتجاوب كل من عرف أبو عمر عن كثب ويخط بعضا من ذكرياته المميزة عن مناضلنا المثقف الثوري. نأمل في المستقبل أن تتطور هذه المبادرة إلى جهد أوسع لتخليد ذكرى العديد من المثقفين الثوريين الذين اغنوا مسيرتنا النضالية وقدموا التضحيات على طريق التحرر والتقدم والسلام لفلسطين! * تنويه: القسمان العربي والإنكليزي في الموقع ليسا متطابقين. بعض المواد فقط موجودة في القسمين. Who are We? What are our Aims? We are friends and admirers of Abu Omar; we aim to honor the memory of a distinguished intellectual and revolutionary, and to highlight the noble values he embodied. We believe that this rich heritage of our struggle should become a vital part of our collective memory, essential to promote our liberation struggle. It is unfortunate that this site has been late in being set up. The complexities of the disappearance of Abu Omar and his comrades, the weakening of the modern Palestinian National Movement, the change of the political milieu and the dissipation and loss of many of the comrades and friends made it difficult to begin, but we did! Consequently, it was inevitable that in the start is limited to testimonies of few number of friends, comrades and family members, however, we hope that this will be the beginning. We are confident that everyone who knew Abu Omar well, will interact and respond by writing some of his/her distinctive memories of our intellectual revolutionary. We hope that in the future this initiative will be promoted to lead to wider efforts to honor many of the intellectuals who enriched our revolutionary march through their sacrifices on the road of liberation, progress and peace for Palestine!
